GoTo Resolve — Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about GoTo Resolve login, the console, agent download, pricing, the GoTo Assist rebrand and account management.

Login & Access

Login & Console Access

What is the GoTo Resolve login URL?
The GoTo Resolve login URL is console.gotoresolve.com. Sign in with your GoTo account email and password — the same credentials used for GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, or any other GoTo product.
What credentials do I use to log in?
You use your GoTo account email and password. GoTo uses a unified identity across all its products. If you use GoToMeeting or GoToWebinar with the same organization, those credentials work for GoTo Resolve as well.
Why can't I log in to GoTo Resolve?
Common causes: (1) Wrong URL — use console.gotoresolve.com. (2) Wrong credentials — use your GoTo account email/password. (3) 2FA required — complete the verification code step. (4) Account not provisioned — contact your IT administrator. (5) Account suspended — contact GoTo billing. Check status.goto.com for outages.
How do I reset my GoTo Resolve password?
On the login page at console.gotoresolve.com, enter your email, click Continue, then click "Forgot your password?" on the password step. A reset link will be sent to your registered email. The reset applies to your entire GoTo account, not just GoTo Resolve.
Does GoTo Resolve require two-factor authentication?
2FA is optional by default but can be enforced by account administrators. If your organization has enforced 2FA, you will be prompted for a verification code after entering your password. Supported methods: TOTP authenticator apps (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy) and email verification codes.
I have a GoTo account but can't access GoTo Resolve — why?
Having a GoTo account does not automatically grant GoTo Resolve access. A GoTo Resolve subscription must be set up, and you must be invited to the account as a technician or administrator. Contact your IT administrator, or if you are the account owner, verify a GoTo Resolve plan has been purchased at goto.com/it-management/resolve.
GoTo Assist Rebrand

GoTo Assist → GoTo Resolve

Is GoTo Resolve the same as GoTo Assist?
GoTo Assist was rebranded as GoTo Resolve in 2022. GoTo Resolve retains all of GoTo Assist's remote support capabilities and adds a full IT management platform: RMM, helpdesk ticketing, patch management, asset inventory and script execution. The credentials are the same; the console URL changed to console.gotoresolve.com.
Where do I log in if I used GoTo Assist?
Log in at console.gotoresolve.com with the same GoTo account email and password you used for GoTo Assist. Your devices, customer list and technician accounts were migrated automatically.
Is GoTo Assist still available?
No. GoTo Assist as a standalone product has been retired. The GoTo Assist URL redirects to GoTo Resolve. See the full rebrand guide for details.
Agent & Devices

Agent Download & Device Management

Do I need to install anything to use the GoTo Resolve console?
No. The GoTo Resolve console is fully web-based at console.gotoresolve.com — technicians and administrators do not need to install any software on their own computer. The GoTo Resolve agent is installed only on the devices being managed.
Where do I download the GoTo Resolve agent?
Agent installers are generated inside the console under Devices → Add Devices. The installer is pre-configured with your organization's account. There is no generic public download — a GoTo Resolve account is required. See the full agent download guide.
What operating systems does the GoTo Resolve agent support?
The GoTo Resolve agent supports Windows (10, 11, Server 2016+), macOS (11 Big Sur and later) and major Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, RHEL, Fedora). Windows has the most complete feature set; Linux support focuses on remote access and basic monitoring.
Pricing & Plans

Pricing & Plans

Is GoTo Resolve free?
GoTo Resolve has a permanently free plan — not a time-limited trial — that supports up to 3 unattended devices and 1 technician seat. No credit card is required for the free plan.
How much does GoTo Resolve cost?
Paid plans start from approximately $57/month for a small device bundle (pricing varies by device count and plan tier). GoTo adjusts pricing periodically — check the official GoTo Resolve pricing page for current rates. See the pricing breakdown on this site for a plan comparison.
What are the GoTo Resolve plan tiers?
GoTo Resolve offers Free (3 devices, 1 technician), Basic (more devices, basic monitoring), Standard (adds patch management, scripting, asset inventory) and Premium/Enterprise (session recording, SSO, priority support). See the full plan comparison.
